The house was still on its original boiler of over 20 years old so it was just about ready for renewal and was a good time to do so. Firstly, we upgraded the system to a Worcester Bosch system boiler with unvented cylinder, giving the customer hot water at mains pressure. Secondly, we knew before the project started. That the new kitchen living space was going to be large with little wall space to spare. We therefore agreed with the customer to install a wet underfloor heating system. The only way to do this was to remove the 8” reinforced concrete slab and pour a new concrete oversite on the existing part to create a new base level ready for the insulation, underfloor heating pipes and screed to the new area (75m²). This was well worth the effort as it gives outstanding quality heating that is consistent throughout.

Finally, in the front extension we fitted the new en suite for the master bedroom which we fully tiled and also installed underfloor heating on.
